Director Editorial and Curation

You will set the editorial vision for music discovery, playlist curation, artist spotlights, and music taxonomy. You will lead editorial programs and curators, use data and cultural context to guide decisions, partner on recommendation systems, manage music balance, and report program metrics.

Responsibilities

• Set the editorial vision for music discovery, playlists, artist spotlights, and taxonomy
• Oversee curation frameworks and music taxonomy
• Champion artist spotlights and features
• Use data, community feedback, and cultural context to inform editorial decisions
• Build, lead, hire, and mentor the editorial team
• Partner with Product and Engineering on curation and recommendation systems
• Define editorial standards for quality and originality
• Manage the editorial balance between music made with Suno and licensed music
• Represent the editorial voice in artist, label, press, and partnership conversations
• Define, track, and report editorial program metrics

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in A&R, editorial, or a related music-industry field
• Music curation and discovery expertise
• Experience building and improving marketing or editorial workflows
• AI fluency or curiosity about AI-assisted music
• Familiarity with metadata and taxonomy systems
• Communication skills for senior artist teams and external partners
• Cross-functional collaboration across marketing, brand, creative, growth, and engineering
• Eligibility to work in the US
