Design Engineer

You will own the interaction paradigm from research and low-fidelity sketches through polished production interfaces. You will design intuitive experiences for complex molecular-biology workflows, create visual interfaces, build front-end code, and communicate design decisions to cross-functional audiences.

Responsibilities

• Define and build the interaction paradigm end to end
• Conduct research and create low-fidelity sketches
• Design and ship polished product interfaces
• Build production front-end code
• Make complex molecular-biology workflows intuitive
• Communicate design decisions to cross-functional audiences

Requirements

• 5+ years designing exceptional products
• Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex tools for domain experts
• Ability to move from sketches and Figma to interactive prototypes and production front-end code
• Experience designing AI-first products
• Ability to communicate design decisions and synthesize complex science
• Ability to listen and incorporate ideas and details into the work
