Data Analyst Intern Finance

You will reconcile financial figures against independent sources, investigate discrepancies, and trace data to its origin. You will use SQL and Python to automate recurring validation checks, build dashboards for financial monitoring, and document datasets clearly.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile financial figures against independent sources and explain discrepancies
• Investigate reports that appear incorrect and determine whether they are accurate
• Trace figures back to their sources
• Automate recurring manual checks
• Write SQL and Python to pull, compare, and validate financial data
• Make missing data visible
• Build and maintain financial-performance dashboards
• Document dataset definitions and exclusions

Requirements

• Currently study or have recently graduated in a numerate field such as data, statistics, finance, accounting, computer science, or engineering
• Use SQL queries with joins and aggregations
• Use Python for analysis or automation
• Communicate clearly in writing
