Backend Software Engineer

You will design, develop, and deploy backend infrastructure for industrial automation applications. You will build data pipelines and data stores, manage systems for autonomous robot fleets, support compute clusters for machine-learning training, and maintain internal and customer-facing web services. You will diagnose network issues and collaborate on scalable software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy backend infrastructure for industrial automation applications
• Design and improve data stores for video and training data
• Build backend systems to manage autonomous robot fleets
• Build and support compute clusters for machine-learning model training
• Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing web services
• Diagnose network bottlenecks and issues

Requirements

• BS or MS in Computer Science
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge of distributed computing and systems design
• Python programming experience
• Shell scripting, Linux system administration, debugging, and backend automation framework knowledge
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience building and managing data-processing pipelines at scale
• Networking knowledge and the ability to diagnose network issues
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
