Americas Legal Counsel

You will advise on the legal and regulatory aspects of payment and banking products from design through launch. You will develop licensing and market-entry strategies, assess and mitigate risks, support corporate legal matters, manage external counsel, and build scalable legal processes.

Responsibilities

• Advise on legal and regulatory aspects of product design development and launch
• Develop and execute licensing and market-entry strategies
• Oversee licence applications
• Provide regulatory guidance on payments money transmission cryptocurrency foreign exchange and cross-border transactions
• Identify and mitigate legal and business risks
• Support corporate governance employment privacy intellectual property fundraising and strategic transactions
• Manage external counsel and consultants
• Build scalable legal processes and frameworks

Requirements

• 7+ years of legal experience including significant fintech or financial services experience
• Strong knowledge of financial services and payments regulations
• Experience advising product engineering compliance and business teams
• Analytical problem-solving and communication skills
• Project management skills
• JD from an accredited law school
• Bar membership in good standing
